Hundreds of catered events are taking place all over London, every day of the week. Munch in Marylebone is a social enterprise which makes catering not just a source of tasty food but also of employment opportunities to vulnerable women.
The social enterprise is part of the Marylebone Project, a partnership between the Church Army and the Portman House Trust. The Marylebone Project is the UK’s largest hostel in the UK for women affected by homelessness, and Munch in Marylebone teaches them skills and improves their confidence to prepare them for independent living. All the profits are directed back into the enterprise to help more vulnerable women.
As well as catering for events, Munch in Marylebone also sells its produce in local cafes and has stalls at London food markets.
