Fastlaners is an intensive, engaging and challenging two‐week training programme targeted at graduates who are unemployed or at risk of becoming unemployed, supporting them in the crucial transition from education to employment.
Launched by the Young Foundation in 2010 and currently operating in East London, Fastlaners participants are mentored in a whole range of skills. They go through a skills assessment in order for them to build on the skills they already have and to ensure they develop those they lack. They develop self awareness and both hard and soft skills. Participants get help with CVs, body language, presentation skills and advice on what to wear. They get the chance to polish interview skills, improve job application techniques, and learn how to do well at assessment centres.
